Animal Care
Just like humans, animals can have injuries or health conditions that can greatly benefit from additional support. I work with animals to help them have quality of life, and support them in a holistic way.

Contact Care
for animals
Contact Care is a gentle, hands-on bodywork modality that focuses on releasing impact trauma stored in the body.
Originally developed for humans, it has been adapted for animals—especially horses, dogs, and farm animals—with powerful results.
How it works?

After physical impact of emotional shock, the body reacts. This triggers specific points of tension, contraction, or distortion, forming what is called Flinches. These flinches are often held in the fascia, bone, or nervous system, and can cause postural imbalance, behavioural issues, or chronic pain in animals.
-
Using a light, non-invasive touch to identify and release stored trauma, stiffness or injury trapped within the body
-
This helps the animal’s body self-correct, restoring balance and comfort.
-
It’s particularly effective for issues like lameness, stiffness, sensitivity, or unexplained behavioural changes.

Benefits
Contact Care bypasses mental processing and works directly with the body’s innate intelligence, allowing healing to happen in a way that feels safe and natural for the animal. Animals don’t intellectualise trauma—they store it in their bodies, releasing it will restore their quality of life.
It's especially helpful in:
-
Post-fall or injury recovery
-
Repetitive strain or work-related tension
-
Emotional stress (e.g., rehoming, abuse history)
-
Performance blocks or behavioral problems

Once the flinch is released the animal’s body naturally begins to adjust and heal. Assisting in,
-
Realignment of bones or joints
-
Release of soft tissue tension
-
Improved posture and movement
-
Changes in behaviour and demeanour
Animals often shake, lick, stretch, sigh, or show other signs of nervous system release during or after a session.

Additional Support for Animals

Reiki

As a qualified Reiki Master I also can offer Reiki to animals too.
It can help calm anxious or stressed animals, support their recovery from illness or injury, and promote emotional healing. Since animals are sensitive to energy, Reiki can be a great tool to enhance their well-being, especially for pets who may be fearful or in pain.
